What kind of HVAC system does the Natural Science and Technology Library have?<\/span><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-width: 0px; width: 70px; height: 22px; float: left;\" src=\"https:\/\/library.kanazawa-u.ac.jp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/3-79.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"answer\">Chilled water is pumped from the university energy center to the Natural Science and Technology Library, where it is used to cool air that is circulated on every floor.The energy center produces chilled water for the entire university at one location. The schedule for the production of chilled water is the same for the entire university. The air conditioning at the Natural Science and Technology Library is not an independent function. It is governed by the university-wide plan.<br \/>\nHeating is from hot water circulated from the energy center.<\/p>\n<div class=\"kaijo\"><span style=\"color: #1d8d1d; font-size: 12.8px;\">Q1-4.\u3000Why do some of the lights get turned on and off?<\/span><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-width: 0px; width: 70px; height: 22px; float: left;\" src=\"https:\/\/library.kanazawa-u.ac.jp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/3-79.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"answer\">In the Natural Science and Technology Library, sensors detect the presence or absence of people, and turn the lights on or off accordingly. When the sensors detect movement, they turn the lights on. Even if people are present, the lights will turn off if those present remain still. Lightning control sensors are installed in the stacks. The lights in the carrels remain on.<br \/>\nWe request your cooperation in our efforts to conserve energy.<\/p>\n<div class=\"kaijo\"><span style=\"color: #1d8d1d; font-size: 12.8px;\">Q1-5.\u3000Why is the water in the Natural Science and Technology Library toilets murky?<\/span><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-width: 0px; width: 70px; height: 22px; float: left;\" src=\"https:\/\/library.kanazawa-u.ac.jp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/3-79.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"answer\">We call the flushing water in the toilets gray water, but it is actually well water. It is not potable tap water.
