In light of the current situation regarding open access, Kanazawa University Library has concluded conversion agreements with Springer-Nature in January 2024 and with Elsevier in April.<\/p>\n
\u201cTtransformative agreement\u201dis a contract that includes electronic journal subscription fees and article processing charges (APCs) as a set. When a faculty member, staff member, or graduate student of the University is accepted by a contracted journal as a corresponding author, the APCs are partially waived (paid by the University) on a first-come, up to the annual publication limit set by each contract.<\/p>\n

For this seminar, we will have a guest speaker from Elsevier Japan who will give a lecture on recent trends in open access and the specific steps to take when publishing an open access paper.<\/p>\n

We welcome the participation of not only those who plan to submit papers to Elsevier ScienceDirect journals, but also faculty, staff, and graduate students who are interested in open access.<\/p>\n
