How to do it OA?
Direction1 Gold OA: Paying Article Processing Charges (APC) to publishers
Publisher version (published papers) are opened as they are.
Author’s expenses are paid.

Submit to Open Access Journals.
2. Hybrid OA
Pay APC for papers you want to be OA.
Gold OA support provided by Library
APC discounts may be available depending on the agreement between the university and the publisher. However, a flat fee of 100,000 yen is required. The fee will be used to cover the cost of e-journal subscription.

In 2018, we formulated the “Kanazawa University Open Access Policy” to promote OA through KURA. Not only academic papers, but also bulletins, doctoral dissertations, books, and other research results produced by the University are registered and disseminated to the world.

- A unique identifier (e.g., DOI) can be assigned.
- Linked to various databases. Improves the probability of being searched.
