EU Special exhibition “The Baltic countries”

As part of the EU-Japan Friendship Week 2024,

the Central Library is currently holding a special exhibition entitled ‘The Baltic States’.

 

The Baltic States are located on the Baltic Sea coast in north-eastern Europe and are attractive countries with a rich history and culture.

Estonia is an advanced country in terms of digital technology, Riga, the capital of Latvia, is the largest city in the Baltic region and a positive heritage site,

and Lithuania has many warm traditional handicrafts.

 

Each country offers beautiful nature, old towns and historical architecture, as well as its own culture and food.

The exhibition presents the exciting attractions of each country.

 

A questionnaire is also available on a first-come, first-served basis to win wonderful EU goods!

★Kanazawa University Library has the only EU Information Centre (EUi) in the Hokuriku region as a base for deepening understanding of the European Union (EU). Every year from around 9 May (Europe Day) to July, EUi at 18 universities across Japan organises intensive events to familiarise Japanese people with the EU under the title of ‘EU-Japan Friendship Weeks’.
