Two ways are available to use e-resources to which Kanazawa University subscribes from off campus.
Please note some e-resources are not available off campus.
GakuNin service enables on-campus Single Sign-On (the mechanism where a single ID and password permit a user to access e-journals and databases which Kanazawa University subscribes.) It will also create an environment from where a user can access other university and commercial services. A Kanazawa University ID is necessary for login.
Not all e-resources support the GakuNin Service.
Please see the following site for details.
<GakuNin official site> https://www.gakunin.jp/
<About GakuNin by Information Media Center (in Japanese)> http://www.imc.kanazawa-u.ac.jp/service/gakunin
2. Through a VPN
Please see VPN (総合メディア基盤センター) (Information Media Center [in Japanese]) for details.
You can connect a VPN with a Kanazawa University Network ID.
Please use VPNGW 02 for e-journals and databases.
