日本の植物分類学の基礎を築いた牧野博士の著作をぜひ直接ご覧ください！

 

Three botanical illustrated books written by "Tomitaro Makino" are on display.
Dr. Makino was the model for the main character in the morning TV series.
Please come and see the works of Dr. Makino, who laid the foundation of Japanese plant taxonomy!

 

　【展示図書】

　・増訂　草木圖説　1907-1912年
　江戸末期に本草学者の飯沼慾斎によってつくられた草木圖説の初版に，牧野富太郎が植物の解剖図等の不足部を書き加えた増訂版。

 

　・日本植物志圖篇　1888-1891年
　牧野のデビュー作。精密な筆致の花式図などからなる牧野式植物図には彼の才能が表れています。

 

　・牧野日本植物圖鑑　1940年
　牧野富太郎の生涯をかけた研究の集大成。
　本書は現在まで改訂を重ね，今なお最も詳しく見やすい国内最大級の植物図鑑です。
